It was first introduced by Spode in 1814 and was derived from a printed illustration  in the book 'Views of Rome and its Vicinity' published around 1796-98

The pastoral scene depicts a woman throwing feed out to the farm animals. turkeys, chickens, roosters, and sheep. It is framed with a gingham check inserted with cartouches alternating flowers and or cattle within. Crimped rim. Measures: appx 9" Condition: No chips or cracks. There is only minor crazing, commensurate to age.
