French Advertising Brown Transferware Carp 🐟 Fish Platter Les Carpe Giennoise english pink china ENGLISH IRONSTONE PLATEHere is a wonderful platter by Gien of France depicting a Carp and titled Les Carpe Giennoise with the recipe in French. It has a richly colored honey amber glaze. It would looks fantastic in any French or chefs kitchen. I have a matching platter (shown in 2nd photo and sold separately) Les Truites Au Bleu if you want a pair. Gien was founded in 1821 by Thomas Hall, and Englishman who wanted to introduce fine English earthenware manufacturing
