The plate is thick enough (3 4") to use self tapping screws and sits high enough off the deck to use internal hardware. There are 3 accessory patterns that come pre drilled (Micro Power Pole, Motorguide quick release bracket, and the Motorguide 6 bolt pattern). All stainless steel hardware is included to mount the plate to the
